The Legal Information Access Program (LIAP)

The Legal Information Access Program (LIAP) at the Women’s Resource Centerof Greensboro is designed to be a gateway to legal information that will help community women, ages 18 and older, to make well-informed decisions, based on a clear knowledge of their legal rights and responsibilities, as they move through life transitions.

The Attorney Hotline

This program provides 15 minutes of free telephone consultation with an attorney, by appointment. There are currently 36 local attorneys who donate their time to consult with our clients. These attorneys represent 22 different areas of law including Civil, Corporate, Criminal, Domestic, Education, Employment, Environmental, Landlord/Tenant, Financial, Business/Bankruptcy, Immigration, Juvenile, Patent, Health, General Litigation, Business Start-Up, Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Real Estate, Tax, Wills/Probate, and Worker’s Compensation.

Legal Workshops

These are scheduled from time to time as need is perceived and give participants the opportunity to get legal questions answered from qualified professional attorneys in a workshop setting, usually 90 minutes in length. A recent workshop was held on Separation and Divorce; one is up-coming on the law as it relates to Landlord/Tenant and Eviction issues.
